AWAL TERBENTUKNYA NAMA DISCOMOJOYO

AWAL TERBENTUKNYA NAMA DISCOMOJOYO

DIAWALI dari kegelisahan temen satu kontrakan, kemudian membuahkan karya musik. Itulah sejarah nongolnya band yang namanya Discomjoyo. Emang semula enam personil Didit Agung Prabowo (vokal), Muhammad Hernu Rasyid (gitar), Karbel (bass), Budi Pramudiya (organizer & synthesizer), Adith (dj & sampling), Ruly Pradinata (drum) itu ngerasa punya kompetensi di bidang musik.

Mereka pun dibantu ama temen-temen kontrakan lain sepakat ngebentuk Discomojoyo. Tapi sayang, nggak lama jalan, karena Adith mutusin keluar. Alesannya sih pengin ngembangin nge-dj nya dengan main solo.
Nama band yang agak-agak unik ini sebenarnya punya arti yang nggak kalah unik lho. Karena namanya diambil dari tempat mereka nongkrong bareng, yakni di Jalan Komojoyo – ya sekitar Gejayan gitu. “Lalu kita tambahin dengan kata Dis di bagian depan alamat tempat tinggal kita. Jadi deh nama band kita,” papar Didit, vokalis berdarah Medan ini.
Setelah ngejalani proses rembugan ampe lima bulan, maka tepat bulan Mei 2007, Discomojoyo resmi dideklarasiin sebagai grup dengan jenis musik Disco Rhytmix With Rock N’ Roll, begitu istilah mereka, keren khan. “Discomojoyo nggak lair begitu saja, sejak Desember 2006 kami menggodok band dengan konsep yang matang. Mulai jenis musik hingga manajemennya,” tegas Rasyid.
Hasilnya, baru-baru ini Discomojoyo sukses nglempar mini album perdana yang dikasih titel Is all About Him . Tapi sebelumnya mereka juga udah ngeluarin demo dengan tembang andalan Dj-A. Itu mereka lakuin sekitar taun …….
Lirik lagu di debut mini album mereka banyak mengeksplor soal kehidupan sosial yang nyangkut masalah anak muda. “Kita banyak cerita sisi lain persoalan anak muda, nggak jarang kita juga sering dihubungi ama mereka cuman sekadar untuk curhat aja,” jelas M. Karya yang akrab dipanggil Karbel.
Untuk nunjang suasana rock n roll dengan sedikit sentuhan blues, sebagai gitaris, Rasyid cenderung milih gitar Epiphone. “Saya khan pengen dapet crunch-nya, dan dari gitar ini aku bisa dapet, terus ditunjang ama efek overdrive maka dapet deh semuanya,” jelas Rasyid sambil memainkan gitarnya.
Sementara untuk ngedapetin irama jingkrak-jingkrak, Discomojoyo melalui Budi Pamudiya atau yang biasa dipanggil Acil menjelaskan, kalau dia banyak make software Fruity Loop. “Emang sih software ini udah terlalu jadul en gampang hehe… tapi dari kesederhanaannya itu aku ama Rully (drumer) bisa dapet banyak rhythm en bisa maksimalin fasilitas yang tersedia,” jelasnya sembari senyum. Tepatnya tanggal 12 lalu.. belum lama sih sekitar 5 hari yang lalu atau 105 jam yang lalu.Gw sama seseorang temen gw yang gantengnya ga ketulungan yang bernama Yudi Bimantara melakukan pemotretan di sebuah tempat yang rahasia deh.Pokoknya jauh.. Perlu naik Helikopter 2 hari 2 malem buat nyampe kesana.Gw kasih tau tempatnya juga lo belum tentu tau tu.Di peta aja belum ada soalnya.

Ok sebelum gw lanjutin nih cerita,Lo udah pada kenalkan sama Si Yudi,orang yang gw sebut barusan?? Nah kalo lo dateng waktu DISCOMOJOYO manggung terus ngeliat cowo cakep muter2 sambil bawa camera,nah itu dia orangnya.Gantengkan?? Nenek gw aja bilang dia ganteng.Dia itu fotografer setianya DISCOMOJOYO lho...
